A few weeks ago my parents took me and a few of my friends on a trip to the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. We had the weekend of a lifetime. People often say Vegas is unreal, everything is bigger, brighter, more scandalous, and I will have to say I agree. I think I walked down the strip with my mouth open in amazement the entire three days we were there. The lights, the people, the shows, everything in Vegas is just so colorful, and that is what makes it such an amazing place. Everyone needs to visit at least once.
We arrived Thursday night and our hotel was beautiful! We stayed at The Venetian and I felt like I was in Italy the entire time I was inside, minus the whole casino thing. The insides of all of the hotels could make you feel like you were outside. It was so unreal.
The first night we were there we went to Voo Doo Lounge on top of the Rio hotel for drinks and got to see the prettiest view of Vegas. I highly recommend going there because it is seriously stunning.
WARNING: The bartenders really want you to try Voo Doo’s specialty drink called the “Witch Doctor” if you do decide to engage in such activity you should know you can EASILY split it between four people. Seriously do not try and drink one by yourself, it could end badly.
That evening our show was the Chippendales. Honestly, I didn’t think it was that great. Magic Mike was better than seeing it in real life so if the Chippendales are on your Vegas bucket list it would be totally okay to take them off.
Friday we spent most of the day walking on the strip. I think this was probably one of my favorite things because each hotel is so different. They are all extravagant, but they all have different themes so each one is worthy of a walk through. I thought The Wynn was absolutely amazing!
Friday night we got to see Elton John’s show at Caesars Palace and it was breathtaking. I am a big Elton John fan so seeing him was a big check off of my bucket list.
Saturday we took a taxi down to Fremont Street or the “Old Vegas” strip and visited the Mob Museum. It was pretty interesting but required A LOT of reading. I don’t know that much about the Mob so it really wasn’t my cup of tea, but if you are at all intrigued by the Mob you should definitely check it out! I would highly suggest walking down Fremont Street just for the historical aspect, walking down the same street that Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin strolled down gave me the feels.
Saturday night we wrapped up our trip with Britney Spears at Planet Hollywood which was amazing and made all of our childhood dreams come true.
The night concluded at TAO nightclub at The Venetian followed by some much-needed late night grubbing.
Bottom line: Vegas is amazing, obviously these pictures can’t do it true justice! If you have the chance to go one day, I would highly recommend it!!
