This year was the second year I have spent New Years in music city. One thing I found myself loving about Nashville is the amount of stuff there is to do there.
We (meaning me and my friend Peterson) stayed with our friend Ashley who never disappoints in showing you a good time! We got in a little late Wednesday night so we went for dinner and drinks at this place in The Gulch called Saint Anejo.
Their hibiscus margarita was AMAZING! and I was seriously obsessed with their black velvet wallpaper!
After dinner, we headed to Broadway and went to The Big Bang to see the dueling pianos. They were hilarious and could sing any song imaginable! (request Sexy Back by JT or Pony by Ginuwine)
The next day we had brunch at The Row and I tried “hot chicken” for the first time! It was really good and spicy, mmmm!
After brunch, we went to Hillsboro Village and went shopping!
Later, after draining my bank account, we went back to get ready for our NEW YEARS EVE festivities! We started the night out at the tapas restaurant, Americano, then headed over to one of Ashley’s friend’s apartment on Church Street.
We then joined 150,000 of our friends on Broadway for New Year’s Eve and saw Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Stapleton and Kings of Leon rock it out. Thank goodness for all the people because it was SO COLD and naturally, none of us brought coats, body heat FTW.
The next morning we made our own brunch at Ashley’s apartment and then slowly got ready and walked around the 12 South area. We stopped by Draper James Girl, which was adorable.
That night we went for drinks and sushi at Virago which was my favorite place we went to. The atmosphere was really awesome. It was really dim lit and Asian inspired.
Their sushi was amazing and their coconut jasmine rice was probably one of the greatest things ever! I highly recommend this place!
Round two in Nashville was a major success! This city has so much to offer! What are your favorite things to do/places to visit in Nashville? I’m already trying to plan another weekend to go back!
